Yes. It can. Bruises are an accumulation of cellular debris and old red blood cells in the tissue. Lymph Drainage Therapy reduces healing time for bruises by cleansing the extracellular spaces where these substances are trapped.

No. When performed properly, it is not painful. The Vodder Technique is the most respected method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) over the world. It is NOT massage. It is a specialized, advanced bodywork modality that uses a gentle, rotating, pumping motion that moves the lymph fluid without increasing the blood circulation.

Every recovery is unique, and during your initial consultation, we will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Some clients find that 1–6 post-operative sessions are sufficient, while others—especially those recovering from abdominal liposuction—may require 10–12 sessions or more. In some cases, clients may need more than 12 sessions, particularly if they have undergone multiple procedures, such as liposuction combined with a tummy tuck or a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
To make treatment more accessible, I offer packages of 3, 5, or 10 sessions to help manage costs while ensuring you receive the care you need.

A full body detox, or cleanse, is a practice that some people follow in an effort to eliminate toxins from the body. Some people believe they can eliminate toxins from the body by following a particular diet, fasting, taking supplements, or using a sauna.
While some people believe that full body detoxes provide health benefits, they are not necessary for most people. The body already has its own highly efficient detoxification system to eliminate toxins from the body.
Typically, people who are healthy do not require additional help with detoxification. That said there are some standard non MLD tips that you can incorporate into your daily routine that can help.
Here are some ideas for how to support the body’s detoxification system:Stop smoking or drinking alcohol
Stay hydrated
Eat a nutrient dense diet - avoid carbohydrates, added sugars - look for foods high in antioxidants, such as berries and nuts and dark leafy greens, such as kale, spinach, and chard
Improve air quality - eliminate mold, dust regularly, consider an air purifier
Get enough sleep

Probably not. While countless spas offer MLD or MLD-sounding treatments for bloating and weight loss, that’s not really how the body works. The lymphatic system is designed to move and remove excess fluids from tissues, but primarily in cases where there is an atypical buildup due to a mechanical issue (such as damaged or missing lymph vessels) or a functional impairment (such as poor circulation or systemic health conditions affecting lymph flow).

No. Although many doctors recommend MLD, it is also perfectly fine to self-refer.

Sacred Healing Bodyworks is considered an out-of-network provider (all of massage is) with all insurances, meaning we do not contract directly with insurance and we do not submit the claims. We do provide our clients with a superbill that they submit to insurance for direct reimbursement. It is important to reach out to your insurance and ask what your out-of-network benefits are. We have some clients who get 100% and some that get nothing, it really depends on the plan Check your out-of-network benefits. We can also accept payment via HSA and FSA cards in many instances.
We will help facilitate this process by providing you with a claim form or a 'super-bill' that you can then submit to your insurance company. We recommend that you contact your insurance company in advance to find out what your out-of-network benefits are. For a helpful worksheet on this, click here. -
